THE REME EXISTS TO ‘KEEP THE PUNCH IN THE ARMY’S FIST’

The Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) provides engineering support and is responsible for maintaining and repairing the Army’s equipment.  This Corps of Craftsmen will be found wherever the army is located at home or overseas. The diversity in the Army’s equipment will challenge the best engineers but REME soldiers receive the best technical training giving them the confidence to tackle any engineering problem.

The REME are the Army’s Corps of professional Engineers. They provide equipment support and this is done by conducting preventative maintenance, repairs, recovery, manufacture and modification of the Army’s equipment.  We work on the latest and advance technologies which vary from tanks and trucks to helicopters and weapons systems.  The REME invests in its people by ensuring that they have a direct route to professional engineering accreditations.
